A woman who travelled from London to Bangalore has lost parts of her lip,her spleen and ‘lives in constant pain’ after being thrown under the wheels of a tractor.

Sani Krishna had made the journey back home to India after spending a year in the UK’s capital with her brother Arjun.

On her commute to work, she rode on the back of a Rapido motorcycle, which is a taxi service, and chose the ‘Women’s Safety’ option when the driver crashed into the tractor in front of them.

The driver fell to the side, but Sani,35,was thrown beneath the tractor’s wheels and she was ran over.

She was taken to Manipal Hospital after suffering such injuries so severe she had to have her spleen removed.

Sani was placed on a ventilator, and is now missing a lip and some of the flesh on her face.

Her brother Arjun told Metro: ‘She is such an energetic and happy woman.

‘Just a few days after seeing our parents, the crash happened.’

Arjun is desperately trying to raise money for medical treatment after the family used part of their own savings to fund Sani’s trip back home.

He said: ‘My sister is beautiful,we are very close. I look up to her.
